But is it Serving You?

Throughout our lives, we pick up thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and opinions along the way. Some are taught directly. Others are absorbed quietly—from parents, friends, partners, teachers, coworkers, society, and the media.

Many of these beliefs aren’t based on objective truth. They’re shaped by other people’s perspectives, experiences, and biases.

And yet, we hold onto them as if they are facts.

They begin to shape how we see ourselves, how we treat others, and what we believe we’re capable of. More often than not, they hold us back.

Maybe you learned that you’re “too emotional” from a boyfriend.

Maybe you were labeled “lazy” by a boss.

Maybe social media left you feeling like you’re not enough.

You’ve carried these messages with you. Maybe they’ve motivated you. Maybe they’ve pushed you to prove something. And maybe, at times, they’ve felt completely true.

But are they serving you?

Is this something you want to keep believing—or are you ready to let it go?

Limiting beliefs often develop as a form of protection. At some point, they may have helped you make sense of your experiences or kept you safe. But over time, they can quietly keep you stuck.

The good news is, you’re allowed to question them.

You’re allowed to decide that a belief you picked up along the way is no longer useful or supportive.

So the next time you notice a thought, belief, or opinion showing up, pause and ask yourself:

Is this moving me closer to—or farther away from—showing up as the version of myself I want to be?

If you could use support around limiting beliefs, or something else, please schedule a free consultation to chat more about working with me as your coach. I can’t wait to meet you.
